Railyard Ladies Football Club, for the second year running, hosted a Gaelic Football Summer Camp. A multitude of children, both boys and girls, attended the camp. A fantastic, action packed three days of Gaelic Football took place in Railyard GAA club grounds and nothing but smiling, happy faces were seen leaving the pitches each day.The camp was deemed a huge success with over 100 players turning up on a daily basis. It’s not hard to see why as all camp goers enjoyed fun, football and ice cream!
Colin Philips from Compass Physio was on hand to give the players some great advice on how to prepare for games and training and put them through their stretches. Mick Dempsey, Kilkenny senior hurling trainer and former Laois footballer and manager gave some great tips and inspiring advice to the children.
Well done to all the enthusiastic, well behaved children who attended. They were a credit to themselves, their parents and their respective clubs. The camp couldn’t have taken place without all the effort of many in the club and community. The camp will return next year for its third year running and promises to be even bigger and better than before!
