After a fantastic weekends football 3 teams came out deserved winners to go to Galway in June as Kilkenny’s Féile 2019 representatives. Kilkenny City will represent Kilkenny in Féile Division 1, Dunnamaggin in Féile Division 5 and Erins Own in Féile Division 8.

After Saturday’s round robin games the schedule was set for a thrilling Féile finals qualifying day in Dicksboro. The A final saw Kilkenny City Ladies Gaelic Football Club come out on top over Muckalee Ladies Gaelic Football Club in a skillful, fast paced game.

The B semi-finals, with Piltown Ladies Gaelic Football v Dunnamaggin LGFC and Thomastown LGFC v John Lockes Ladies Football Club, were both well contested games. Dunnamaggin overcame Piltown and then claimed the overall Féile B win beating Callan in the final.

The C final was contested by Clara Ladies Gaelic Football Club and Erins Own LGFC with Castlecomer side claiming victory in another great game of football. Well done to all teams who took part this weekend and best of luck to the 3 clubs in Féile in June. Exciting preparations ahead!
